FAQs

Can my mum and bridesmaids have a trial?

Yes of course, even though I am always happy to style them on the day, it’s sometimes a great idea to have a trial for them if they are nervous about their hair. This is a separate cost to your trial. I would suggest that if they are joining you for your trial then you go first as it’s your day and crucial we nail your look before their’s. If there are too many at one trial, I recommend you have yours at a different date so we can really focus on your hair. You can also have them come with you to your trial for support even if they are not having a trial themselves.

What happens at the bridal trial?

All of my bridal trials are held at my bridal studio in Bournemouth, once arrived, I will normally have a look at your hair and through the styles you are wanting to trial. I normally ask to see your dress too! We will start on your first look, if unsure we carry on with the styles until we find your dream style, once we have, we will go through arrival timings and I will ask all the relevant questions to check we are set for your big day!

What should I bring to my trial?

Ideally, an idea of what you would like to trial, your veil and accessories, if you are wanting a hairstyle where you know you will need more hair, I advise messaging me to order in hair extensions, these cost anything from £70-£130 or if you already own extensions bring them along!

How far do you travel?

I travel anywhere! Anywhere in the UK and abroad. In the UK, I charge 0.45p per mile outside of Bournemouth. For destination weddings, I charge my normal prices as long as flights, accommodation and transfers are included.

Do you bring an assistant for larger wedding parties?

Yes, however, only if I need to or if you are wanting a stylist to stay for the remainder of the time.

Can you bring a make up artist?

Yes of course, I work closely with some of the best in the industry, if you are needing a make up artist, please pop me a message!

When shall I wash my hair?

I always advise to wash your hair the night before, shampoo twice to ensure it’s super clean and only condition the ends, please no heavy treatments the week before your wedding as this normally takes a few washes to remove. Any longer it will be too oily and any sooner it will be too silky smooth, this also applies to your bridesmaids, if the mother of the bride or bride require a blow dry, please have your hair freshly washed the morning of the wedding and wrapped in a towel.

How long does it take to get everyone ready?

I require 20-30 minutes per hair style and 45 minutes for the Bride’s hair, I am quick at what I do, however, the standard will always be as high as it taking longer, your hair will last until late evening, maybe even the morning after!

How many people can you style on the day?

I can style up to 12 people on the day in 3-4 hours. On Fridays and Saturdays I need a minimum of 5 to book, this applies May-October only.

When should I have my trial?

I normally recommend around 3-6 months before, however, if you are wanting to trial, as long as you have chosen your dress and have a rough idea of the look you want to go for, we can get you booked in!

Will you stay until the very end before I need to leave?

It completely depends on the size of your bridal party, as sometimes if I have a small wedding party I will take on 2 weddings that day. If you are wanting exclusivity this can be discussed no problem! Either way I will discuss your veil and show either the mother of the bride or the maid of honour how this is placed in your hair.

Do you offer any group discounts?

I’m afraid not, my price list is very fair and ranged in the middle of the surrounding bridal hair stylists.
